CIS College was the implementing partner for Brighter Futures, in partnership with VU Amsterdam and SPARK, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through NUFFIC.

The goal

Support Lebanese vocational institutions to deliver quality education for refugee students and host communities. The project worked with three institutions in the Bekaa region: Al Kayrawan Institute, Learning Through Action (LTA), and INMAA.

What it delivered

  • A computer lab and a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Competence-based curricula and accreditation.
  • Innovative teaching skills and Community Service Learning.
  • Psychological support services for students.
  • Training in social entrepreneurship and a Youth Innovation Lab.
  • A multi-stakeholder platform connecting institutions and partners.

Duration

2019 to 2022.
