Overview
This course teaches traditional and modern handicraft techniques, focusing on creating both functional and decorative handmade items. You will explore a range of crafts including textile work, pottery, and woodworking, while learning about the cultural significance and sustainability of handicraft production. The course culminates in teaching you how to market and sell your creations.
What You Will Learn
- Master various handicraft techniques including hand stitching, machine sewing, embroidery, knitting, and crochet
- Learn pottery and ceramics fundamentals, from hand-building to wheel-throwing and glazing techniques
- Develop woodworking skills including carving, shaping, and finishing wood to create functional pieces
