Accounting and Applied Taxes

Overview
Accounting and Applied Taxes is a 60 hour course that combines core accounting practice with the Lebanese tax system. You will start with the fundamentals of accounting, from journal entries and bank reconciliation to closing the income statement and preparing the balance sheet, then move into the taxes that every business in Lebanon has to manage.
On the tax side, the course walks you through income tax, payroll tax, value added tax, and registration with the National Social Security Fund, with hands on practice using real declaration forms and payment notices.
What You Will Learn
- Record journal entries for purchases, sales, returns, discounts, and transfers
- Perform bank reconciliation and inventory counts, and adjust customer and depreciation accounts
- Close the income statement and prepare a company balance sheet
- Analyze the financial indicators drawn from a balance sheet
- Apply Lebanese income tax rules, including assessment methods and required documents
- Apply payroll tax rules and complete employer tax obligations
- Calculate and declare Value Added Tax (VAT) and prepare compliant invoices
- Register with and calculate contributions to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
