Accounting Level 2

Overview
Accounting Level 2 builds on foundational accounting knowledge and moves into cost accounting and advanced financial topics. Over 40 hours, you will learn how businesses record and control the cost of materials, wages, and overheads, how they set the price of products and services, and how they measure profitability and the break even point for a product or activity.
The course also covers plant assets, depreciation, inventory, portfolio bills, partnerships, and corporations, giving you a complete picture of how a company’s finances are structured and managed at an intermediate to advanced level.
What You Will Learn
- Account for plant asset expenditures and distinguish capital expenditure from revenue expenditure
- Apply depreciation methods including straight line, units of activity, and declining balance
- Record the disposal of plant assets through retirement, sale, or exchange
- Close and adjust inventory accounts and value closing stock accurately

- Value disposed portfolio bills using the weighted average and FIFO methods
