AutoCAD 3D

Overview
AutoCAD is the industry standard software used by architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to produce accurate 2D drawings and diagrams, and to lay the groundwork for 3D visualization. In this 20 hour course at CIS College, Lebanon’s largest private vocational college, you will build your drafting skills from the ground up, starting with the core drawing and editing tools and moving through full architectural plans, sections, stairs, and elevations.
By the end of the course you will be able to produce a complete, properly annotated and dimensioned architectural drawing set, the same kind of documentation used every day in design and engineering offices across the profession.
What You Will Learn
- Set drawing units and draw 2D shapes using line, polyline, circle, ellipse, and arc
- Use core editing commands including fillet, offset, copy, mirror, rotate, and extend
- Draw 2D furniture pieces such as couches and stools
- Lay out architectural plans with organized layers for walls, stairs, windows, doors, furniture, and hatching
- Apply annotation and dimensioning standards, including text styles, leaders, center lines, and tables
- Draw building sections and cross sections with construction detail
- Draft stairs with full dimensioning, side and front view sections, and cross sections
- Produce building and interior elevations
