Overview

Carpentry Program, known in Arabic as فني في النجارة, is a complete introduction to the carpentry profession, from choosing and understanding wood to building and finishing cabinets, doors and other wood pieces. You will work with real tools and materials, learn how to take accurate measurements for cabinets and doors, cut wood with minimal waste, assemble pieces securely, and finish work with veneer and properly fitted hinges.

This is a 6-month program: 75 hours of classroom and workshop training followed by 3 months of supervised practical work, applying your skills on real projects under the guidance of experienced carpenters. The full program costs 850 USD.

Carpentry Accessories	Hinges, handles, locks and metal corners used to finish wood pieces
Taking Measurements for Cabinets and Doors	Measuring height, width and depth accurately, and recording measurements correctly
Taking Plumb Measurements	Using plumb tools to find reference points and take accurate vertical measurements
Wood Detailing and Cutting	Cutting different wood types with the right method, while minimizing waste
Gathering and Assembling Wood	Preparing, fixing and checking the straightness of assembled wood pieces
Introduction to Veneer	Types of veneer and how to apply it correctly to wood surfaces
Sorting Hinges	Types of hinges and how to sort them by type, size and material
Installing Hinges	Correctly positioning and fixing hinges to ensure pieces align properly
