Construction Works

Overview
Construction Works, known in Arabic as أعمال العمار, gives you a solid, hands on foundation in one of the most in-demand skills on any building site: building stone walls the right way. Over 75 hours of instruction you will work with real construction tools and materials, learn how to mix cement to the correct ratio, lay stones with proper alignment, and reinforce corners so a wall stands strong for years. Training happens through demonstrations, guided practice, group projects, and direct feedback from your instructor, so you build real confidence with your hands, not just in theory.
This is a 6-month program. After the 75 hours of classroom and workshop training, you move into 3 months of supervised practical work on active construction sites, working alongside experienced construction workers. This internship phase is where the skills you learned become second nature, as you take on real tasks, solve real problems, and get comfortable working on a professional site. The full program costs 850 USD.
What You Will Learn
- Mix cement, sand and water in the correct ratios for strong, durable construction
- Read basic blueprints and take accurate measurements to mark out construction areas
- Select and handle different types of construction stones based on their size and properties
- Lay stones with proper alignment using strings, plumb lines and bubble levels
- Reinforce wall corners with mesh and other materials for added strength
- Cut and shape stones accurately without wasting material
- Identify and fill gaps in a wall to keep the structure solid and stable
- Prepare walls for future work, such as leaving space for columns or finishing with a ceiling
