Nail Care

Overview
The Nail Care course at CIS College teaches you the full range of skills needed to work confidently as a nail professional. Over 30 hours of hands-on training, you will learn proper hygiene and sterilization practices, classic and modern manicure and pedicure techniques, and how to apply and remove nail enhancements such as gel, acrylic, tips, and wraps.
You will also learn how to recognize healthy nails versus common nail problems, how to choose the right nail shape for each client, and how to finish nails with color, gel polish, and simple nail art. By the end of the course, you will be able to offer a complete, professional nail care service.
What You Will Learn
- Hygiene, sterilization, and sanitation standards for nail tools and the salon
- How to perform manicure and pedicure services, including French manicure, Russian manicure, and paraffin treatments
- How to recognize signs of a healthy nail and common nail disorders
- How to choose and shape nails to suit each client, including square, oval, round, and pointed shapes
- How to apply and safely remove nail tips, nail wraps, gel nails, and acrylic nails
- How to apply gel color, rubber base, poly gel, and fiber techniques
