Network+ (CCNA 1)

Overview
Network+ (CCNA 1) is CIS College’s entry point into computer networking. Over 20 hours of hands-on and theory-based training, you will build the foundation every IT and networking career starts with, from how networks are structured to how data actually moves between devices.
You will work through the core building blocks of networking, including the OSI model, IP addressing, subnetting, and basic router and switch configuration using the Cisco command line. The course is designed for people with no prior networking background and prepares you to continue into higher Cisco certification levels.
What You Will Learn
- Understand the OSI model and how network communication is structured in layers
- Work with IPv4 addressing, ARP, TCP and UDP, and ICMP
- Navigate the Cisco command line interface in user and privileged mode
- Configure basic router and switch settings
- Understand Wide Area Networks and how routers connect them
- Subnet using CIDR and VLSM, in both binary and decimal
- Work with IPv6 addressing, including EUI-64 and stateless autoconfiguration
- Configure static routes for both IPv4 and IPv6
