Photography

Overview
Photography is both a technical discipline and a creative art form. This course takes you from the fundamentals of your camera through advanced composition and editing, so you leave with the skills to produce professional-quality images. You will work through the full exposure triangle, learn how light and color behave in front of the lens, and practice composing and editing images the way working photographers do.
As Lebanon’s largest private vocational college, CIS College has trained students across its branches since 1991. This course blends theory with practical shooting exercises, moving from camera anatomy and manual settings to composition, Photoshop editing, and a final visual storytelling project.
What You Will Learn
- How your camera and lenses work, including sensor types and focal lengths
- The exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and how they work together
- Manual mode and semi-automatic modes (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority) for real shooting situations
- Focus systems and metering techniques for different lighting conditions
- How to read light, color, and the histogram to expose scenes correctly
- Composition principles such as the rule of thirds and leading lines
- Photo editing in Photoshop, from RAW import to color correction and layers
- How to plan and produce a complete visual story through a final photo project
