Short Film Production

Overview
This is a hands-on, on-campus program for anyone who wants to move from an idea to a finished short film. Across 90 hours, you work through the full filmmaking process: writing a screenplay, planning your shots, directing on set, and editing the final cut.
The course covers screenwriting fundamentals, camera and lighting techniques, directing principles, and montage, building toward a finished short film that reflects your own creative vision.

- Filming and lighting techniques, camera movement, and lens choices
- Three-point lighting principles and how they shape the image

- How to break down a script and coordinate camera and cast movement on set
- Editing fundamentals: shot ordering, cuts, and montage principles
- How to organize footage, select shots, and assemble a final, polished cut
