Video Editing: After Effects

Overview
Video Editing: After Effects is a 24-hour course built around Adobe After Effects, the industry-standard software for motion graphics, visual effects, and compositing. You will move from the interface and core animation principles through kinetic typography, compositing, effects, green screen work, and automated, delivery-ready workflows.
Across six four-hour lessons you will complete hands-on projects including a bouncing ball animation, a kinetic typography promo, an audio-reactive visualizer, a green screen composite, and a final title reveal combining 3D text and particles, building toward broadcast-ready motion graphics for social media, advertising, and professional video production. CIS College is Lebanon’s largest private vocational college, founded in 1991, with branches across the country.
What You Will Learn
- Understand the After Effects interface and the core transform properties
- Apply keyframing, interpolation, and animation principles such as timing and spacing
- Build shape layers, text animators, masks, and track mattes for kinetic typography
- Use blending modes, pre-composing, the graph editor, and null objects for compositing
- Apply effects such as glow, blur, fractal noise, and particle systems, and sync animation to audio
- Perform chroma keying with garbage mattes, core mattes, and spill suppression
- Use expressions and build Essential Graphics templates for Premiere Pro
- Export using the render queue or Media Encoder with the correct codecs and alpha channels
